Enduro-Cross Event, Perth, ON, October 25th, 2009
Last weekend KTM dealer Woody’s Cycle and Bytown Motorcycle Club hosted a special Enduro-Cross 4 hour event in Ontario. Over 300 riders and 72 teams entered the event divided in 3 classes. Denis Libersan from Irwin Supply won the Ironman class on his KTM 300 XC-W.
Red Bull/KTM's Taddy Blazusiak Clinches EnduroCross Championship Title
EnduroCross Series: 5th round, Denver, CO, October 24th, 2009
Taddy Blazusiak's day started well when he earned the fastest lap time during the afternoon qualifying session. In the main event, Blazusiak nailed the $500 Girardi Wealth Management Holeshot award. Christini/KTM rider Geoff Aaron managed to get around Blazusiak near the end of the first lap. Blazusiak quickly countered back by jumping over the finish line tire section only to collide with Aaron in the next corner. Blazusiak charged forward and took an easy win over the rest of the field to clinch the EnduroCross Championship one round early. Aaron ended up in 4th place.
Canadian KTM RTR Performance rider Bobby Prochnau made the trip to Denver for the race. He easily qualified for the night event with his qualifying session. Prochnau proved that he is a very talented and top rider as he rode in the top position the whole race. He passed the checkered flag in 6th place on his KTM 450 XC-F.
Mike Brown earned his first career WORCS Championship!
WORCS Series: 10th round, Mesquite, NV, October 25th, 2009
Shock Doctor/KTM rider Mike Brown earned his first career WORCS Championship in the Nevada desert after a hard fought battle with the series runner-up Ricky Dietrich. Brown's Shock Doctor/KTM teammate Justin Soulè had a great start rounding the first turn within the top five. A few corners later Brown hit a branch, injuring his nose and causing him to lose one more position. It was at this point that Brown saw the championship slipping and turned on the gas and began to charge forward. Brown went on to pick off a few more positions and eventually climbed to 5th place at the race end, securing his first WORCS Championship. Soulè also ended his season on a strong result finishing in 4th position and securing 3rd overall in the series.
Shock Doctor/KTM rider Nate Kanney took a hard earned win!
GNCC Bike Series: 13th round, Crawfordsville, IN, October 25th, 2009
Kanney got off to a decent start at the Ironman GNCC, rounding the first turn within the top five. Kanney got back into the race after a crash in 7th position and charged forward to move into the top five. A lap later Kanney had moved into 3rd position. Kanney finished a strong race and managed to take the win over Mullins by a few inches. Shock Doctor/KTM XC2 rider Cory Buttrick earned his second win of the season over his teammate and 2009 XC2 GNCC Champion Kailub Russell.
GNCC ATV Series: 13th round, Crawfordsville, IN, October 25th, 2009
In the XC1 class, FRE/KTM rider Adam McGill got off to a great 2nd place start. McGill rode a strong race, still holding the lead on the final lap. Unfortunately, on the last lap, McGill and Kiser both got stuck in a bottleneck and were passed by Borich and Ballance. In the end he was able to finish in 6th position. The points earned from this race helped him secure 3rd overall in the series.

La fin de semaine dernière le concessionnaire KTM Woody’s Cycle et Bytown Motorcycle Club ont organisé un événement spécial de 4 quatre heures d’Enduro-cross en Ontario. Plus de 300 coureurs et 72 équipes se sont inscrits à l’événement. Le coureur du concessionnaire KTM Irwin Supply Denis Libersan a remporté la classe Ironman sur sa KTM 300 XC-W.
Le coureur Red Bull/KTM Taddy Blazusiak remporte le championnat d’Enduro-Cross!
Série Enduro-cross: 5e course, Denver, CO, 24 octobre 2009
La journée du coureur Taddy Blazusiak a bien commencé lorsqu’il a obtenu le meilleur temps à sa séance de qualification. Pendant l’événement principal, Blazusiak a remporté la bourse de 500$ Girardi Wealth Management pour le Holeshot. Le coureur Christini/KTM Geoff Aaron, a été en mesure de dépasser Blazusiak vers la fin du premier tour. Par contre, Blazusiak ne s’est pas laissé faire et a mis toute son énergie dans la course pour remporter facilement la course et par la même occasion le titre au championnat. De son côté, Aaron a pris la 4e position.
Le coureur canadien KTM RTR Performance Bobby Prochnau s’est rendu à Denver pour participer à l’Enduro-cross. Il s’est facilement qualifié pour l’événement principal lors de l’après-midi. Prochnau a une fois de plus prouvé qu’il est un coureur extrêmement talentueux faisant partie des meilleurs du peloton. Il a traversé la ligne d’arrivée en 6e position sur sa KTM 450 XC-F.
Mike Brown gagne son 1er championnat WORCS!

Le coureur Shock Doctor/KTM Mike Brown a remporté son 1er championnat en carrière dans la série WORCS après avoir livré une dure bataille à son plus proche compétiteur Ricky Dietrich. Son coéquipier Shock Doctor/KTM Justin Soulè a eu un très bon départ avec un top 5. Quelques virages plus tard, Brown a frappé une branche se blessant au nez ce qui lui a fait perdre quelques positions. Brown ne s’est pas découragé pour autant et est resté concentré sur la victoire. Il a finalement réussi à terminer en 5e position s’assurant ainsi le titre au Championnat. Soulè a également terminé sa saison en force avec une 4e position lui donnant la 3e position au total de la série.
Nate Kanney obtient une victoire bien méritée à la course GNCC!

Kanney était 5e après le premier virage de la dernière course GNCC. Après avoir effectué une chute, Kanney était en 7e position et est remonté dans le top 5. Un tour plus tard il prenait la 3e position et a continué de rouler de façon constante et rapide pour remporter la course. Le coureur Shock Doctor/KTM XC2 Cory Buttrick a remporté sa 2e victoire de la saison devant son coéquipier le champion GNCC XC2 Kailub Russell.
Série GNCC VTT : 13e course, Crawfordsville, IN, 24 octobre, 2009
Dans la catégorie XC1 class, le coureur FRE/KTM Adam McGill a pris la 2e position au départ. McGill a roulé une bonne course et était en tête jusqu’au dernier tour. Malheureusement, à ce dernier tour McGill et Kiser sont restés pris dans un entonnoir et ont été dépassé par Borich et Ballance. Par contre vers la fin de la course, McGill a été en mesure de remonter jusqu’en 6e position. Les points accumulés à cette course lui ont permis de sécuriser sa 3e position au classement général de la série.
