RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING'S CHASE SEXTON RECLAIMS 450SX RED PLATE WITH GLENDALE WIN

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Chase Sexton has climbed back to the top of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship 450SX standings with a winning performance at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium to complete the first Triple Crown event of the season.

Equipped with the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Sexton became the first two-time winner of the year by securing victory tonight, using consistent 3-3-2 results across the trio of Main Events to stand on top of the premier class podium.

After qualifying second fastest, the 25-year-old worked his way forward in the first two races to finish with a pair of P3 results. A strong start in the final encounter saw Sexton take the early lead, before he ultimately took the checkered flag in second position to earn the overall.

In terms of the championship standings, Sexton now holds a two-point advantage as the Supercross series heads east to Tampa for Round 5 next weekend.

Chase Sexton: "The track was really gnarly and dry, but I had fun racing with the guys tonight. In the first two races, I really made it hard on myself with terrible starts, and that made my life difficult – especially with the short races. I finally got a start in the last final when I needed it and finished that one in second. I feel like I rode really well tonight apart from a mistake in the final race, but other than that, it was solid. I’m pumped to get the overall and to get the red plate back!"

Also in the 450SX Class, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Aaron Plessinger equaled his best finish of the season with ninth overall after three intense finals.

Plessinger recorded the 12th-fastest qualifying time, before finishing with 10-7-9 scores in the Triple Crown races to claim ninth overall, moving to P15 in the point standings as a result.

Aaron Plessinger: "Glendale was a step in the right direction. I was struggling in practice, but in qualifying I figured a little something out. I got a decent jump off the gate to the first race, but went off the track on the first lap and had to come back from last up to 10th. In the second final, I was up there battling with everyone for seventh, which was better. In the last one, I got a decent start, but I didn’t really capitalize on it and got shuffled back early on. Overall, I finished the night, but I’ve got some more work to do before Tampa and we'll come out swinging."

At his home race on the schedule, 250SX West red plate-holder Julien Beaumer finished fourth overall at State Farm Stadium and held onto the points lead entering a short break for the Western Region.

Onboard the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, the spectacular teenager qualified first and launched to the holeshot of the first two Triple Crown races. Errors on the opening lap of both races forced him to work his way forward to instrumental P4 and P7 results.

Race three saw Beaumer charge his way from a top-eight start to cross the finish line with a P2 result. When the three race results were combined, 'JuJu' left Glendale with P4 and continues to lead the championship by two points.

Julien Beaumer: "It was a tough night. I made too many mistakes at the start of the first two finals and found myself on the ground. I’m frustrated to say the least, but we salvaged a lot of points tonight and we still have the red plate. I’m happy to still have the series lead coming out of this one and to salvage as many points as I did."

SEXTON WIN HIGHLIGHTS RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING TRIPLE PODIUM IN EAST RUTHERFORD

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton put in a dominant performance during Round 14 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, stretching out to a 15-second margin en route to his fifth victory of the season, while 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger joined him on the podium in claiming a hard-fought third-place finish. In 250SX East, Tom Vialle raced to a P3 result, earning the team a triple podium for the weekend. Sexton rode his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the second-fastest 450SX qualifying time, navigating what was a technical MetLife Stadium layout complete with dual whoop sections and peaky rhythm lanes. Continuing that momentum in his Heat Race, Sexton rocketed to the front of the field after a top-three start, assuming control of the race as the green flag flew. Comfortably heading the field, Sexton would claim P1 to carry winning form into the Main Event. Launching to the all-important holeshot, the number 4 would post a wire-to-wire victory in what was a stellar ride, with Chase's lead reaching as high as 18 seconds throughout the encounter. With the win, Sexton cut the championship points lead to single digits once more, as he sits nine points from the lead with three rounds remaining. Chase Sexton: "I knew it was going to be a gnarly Main Event, but I felt really comfortable all day on my motorcycle. I didn’t change anything, and that’s when you know you’re in a good spot, but I think every week we’ve been building toward this. I feel connected with the bike at the moment and that Main Event for me was just about clicking off fast lap, after fast lap. We have three races left, we know what we have to do, and we just need to go out there and execute.” Teammate Plessinger also found success in his 450SX Heat Race, surging to a third-place finish onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION after battling with the race leaders for the duration of the race, and would also carry strong form into the Main Event. Embroiled in a three-rider fight for the final podium position in the Main Event, 'The Cowboy' stayed calm and aware of the tricky track conditions, with his measured ride earning him third place on the night. A fifth podium in the past seven races sees Plessinger now sixth in the point-standings. Aaron Plessinger: "It was a barn-burner back there for the final spot on the podium! I was behind Justin [Barcia] for a long time, and just caught him on the track at the worst parts to try to make a pass. But anyway, this one was a tough one for me, it was probably the hardest track that I’ve raced all year, so I’m stoked to come out of here with a podium and happy with where my confidence levels are at this stage of the season.” Defending 250SX East Class Champion Vialle opened his East Rutherford weekend by recording the third-fastest qualifying time equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, before racing to third in his Heat Race. The Frenchman then posted a consistent performance during the Main Event, remaining focused on a deteriorating circuit to finish in P3 on the podium and remain in contention for the championship with two rounds to go in the eastern division. Tom Vialle: "My start in the Main Event just wasn’t that good, I had to pass a few guys, and then I was behind RJ [Hampshire] pretty much the whole race, and both guys at the front were riding really good. I think for now the starts are really important, and I have to make it happen for these next two races as we are all pretty similar on pace.” Next Race: April 26 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Results 450SX Class – East Rutherford 1. AARON PLESSINGER WINS FIRST 450SX MAIN EVENT OF 2025 IN RAIN-SOAKED FOXBOROUGH

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Aaron Plessinger has captured an emphatic first 450SX Main Event victory of season 2025 at Round 12 of the AMA Supercross Championship in Foxborough, overcoming treacherous conditions to clinch a well-earned, popular win inside Gillette Stadium. Equipped with the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Plessinger made the most of his mud riding skills by sealing the third-fastest time in the afternoon's sole 450SX qualifying session. Continuing his momentum into the Heat Race, ‘The Cowboy’ would claim a convincing second-place finish following a measured performance, setting him up well for the upcoming Main Event as the conditions intensified. Getting off to a fast start in the shortened Main Event, Plessinger patiently powered his way to the front of the field during the race's early stages, before stretching out to a 25-second lead across the nine-lap encounter, claiming what was a heroic first race win of the season. Aaron Plessinger: “I was nervous [in the lead up]! In a mud race, you never really know what’s going to happen – you can be as confident as you can be, but when that gate drops, you never really know. We pushed to the front as soon as we got out of the first turn clean in the Main, managed to keep it on two wheels and tried to cruise it on in, but it wasn’t an easy cruise by any means. It was tough, but I had a lot of fun! I'm stoked for the team, who never stopped believing in me even when things were tough at the beginning of the season. I can't thank them enough for that.” Following what was his fourth podium result in the past five races, Plessinger currently sits seventh and continues to make ground in the 2025 championship standings. 450SX teammate Chase Sexton piloted his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the second-fastest qualifying time inside Gillette Stadium, seizing his window to post a lap time in track conditions that were worsening by the lap. The rain continued to fall as he lined up for his Heat Race, with the number 4 proceeding to put on a clinic of patience and balance, crossing the finish line stripe in first place by over 30 seconds. He was later penalized by two positions for jumping on a red cross section of the track. In the Main Event, Sexton endured a mid-field start before climbing his way toward podium contention throughout the middle stages of the race. An untimely fall, however, in a difficult position on the circuit saw Sexton surrender a podium finish and was instead able to salvage a sixth-place result in a challenging night of racing. Chase Sexton: "The round started off well for me. P2 in qualifying, then won my Heat Race, but got docked those positions. That led to a bad gate pick in the Main and a terrible start, but overall, not a great Main Event. I fought as hard as I could and we’ll get ready for next weekend to rebound stronger.” The 250SX East Class returned to action in Foxborough, with defending champion Tom Vialle recommencing his pursuit for a second-consecutive crown. Onboard the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Vialle took his Heat Race victory to open the night program. Once the gates dropped on the Main Event, Vialle was running strong inside the top-five before a series of incidents in the closing stages of the race significantly hampered his final result, eventually credited 22nd position. Despite his troubles, the Frenchman maintains the Eastern Division red plate. Tom Vialle: "We finished up in Foxborough and it was a really rainy day here. I managed to win my Heat Race, and then the track was really challenging for the Main Event. I had a bad start and came back to fifth, and then had a crash with two laps to go, which kept us from finishing the race. I’m now tied with Seth [Hammaker] in the championship and it’ll be a good fight with four rounds to go until the end.” Next Race: April 12 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Results 450SX Class – Foxborough 1.
