STANDARD ABS

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) works by quickly lowering motorcycle speed over a very short, sustained distance as opposed to severe ‘locking’. Braking is most effective when the wheel grips the road surface and ABS detects wheel speed and controls the brake pressure, ensuring that the bike keeps rolling and the rider is in control until it comes to a standstill. The rider can smoothly gauge the whole braking procedure and maintain the direction of travel, thanks to the complex and proven system. The principle of ABS has evolved into more advanced solutions, but the basic notion is the same: it stops you in the quickest possible way regardless of the surface.
