On 31 January 2023 the wait was finally over: Production of the new KTM X-BOW GT-XR began at the KTM factory in Graz. The first vehicle rolled off the production line on 14 February in the presence of Stefan Pierer, CEO of PIERER Mobility AG, and Hubert Trunkenpolz, Member of the Executive Board of KTM AG.
“This is a really special day for us,” says Hubert Trunkenpolz. “The KTM X-BOW GT-XR marks the beginning of a new generation of KTM super sportscars. It raises the bar in terms of performance and dynamism and offers a unique driving experience. After more than two years in development and thousands of miles of testing on the track and on the road, handing over the first car feels like a victory. We are extremely proud of this car and the team behind it, and we are delighted that the KTM X-BOW GT-XR will soon be on the road.”

The production of the car is a top priority at the factory in Graz. An average of two cars per week will be manufactured and assembled by hand, in accordance with the highest standards of quality. “That translates to around one hundred units per year,” Hubert Trunkenpolz explains. “Thanks to our wealth of experience in automotive engineering and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, each and every KTM X-BOW GT-XR will be produced with the utmost precision and quality. The new KTM X-BOW will pass through ten workstations and then be meticulously checked by the quality assurance teams. After all, we want to deliver a perfect product. That is our mission at KTM.”
The new KTM X-BOW GT-XR can be ordered now and starts at €299,150 (plus country-specific taxes and import duties). Thanks to its European small-series approval, it is available for road-legal use throughout Europe. Anyone looking to get their hands on the model shouldn’t delay: units in 2023 are already sold out.
