01. Bodywork & Graphics

Grand Prix Inspired

Taking its lead from the pinnacle of 2-wheeled racing, the KTM RC 200 echoes the design of the KTM RC16 racer in both styling, ergonomics and two exciting color options.

Bodywork

Race-inspired bodywork provides class-leading wind protection and a higher top speed thanks to optimized aerodynamics created by using CFD (Computational Flow Dynamics) simulations.

Screen & Headlight

The KTM RC 200 boasts an aerodynamic screen for ultimate wind protection, neatly incorporating into an all-new Halogen headlight with LED Daylight Running Lights (DRL) and integrated indicators for optimal, all-day-round visibility.

Fuel Tank

The 13.7 liter fuel tank is inspired by the KTM RC4 race bike, and provides class leading fuel capacity. This, combined with the KTM RC 125's low fuel consumption, means you can go further, faster, for longer.

Front Fender

A two piece front fender keeps the radiator and engine clean, while providing effective cooling to the brakes, and channels air into the radiator.

Mirrors

Foldable mirrors are wider to offer an improved rear view, but are sharper and provide improved aerodynamics. They're also more practical, folding in for a narrower profile when maneuvering through tight spaces or parking.

02. Chassis

Frame

A ultra-lightweight framework saves 1.5 kg over the previous generation, making use of a trellis frame and bolt-on subframe, which also gives the KTM RC 200 improved high-speed stability and increased rider feel. The result? Faster lap times.

Suspension

The KTM RC 200 makes use of a WP APEX big piston fork in the front, and a new WP APEX shock absorber in the rear, complete with revised factory settings for a sportier ride.

Front Fork

Boasting a 43 mm WP APEX big piston, upside down front fork, the KTM RC 200 not only shares proper sportsbike technology with bigger bikes, it handles like them too. New axle clamps and a hollow axle also save weight.

Brakes

Bringing the KTM RC 200 to a controlled stop comes courtesy of radially mounted 4-piston-fixed caliper ByBre combined with a 320 mm brake disk upfront, and a one-piston fixed caliper with 230 mm disc brake setup on the rear wheel. Not only do these provide the best possible deceleration, they save 960 grams of weight and can be fully exploited thanks to state-of-the-art ABS technology.

Wheels

Maximum strength with minimum weight. A bionic wheel-design with fewer spokes and open hubs, greatly improves handling characteristics, but most importantly, saves almost 1 kg of rotating unsprung mass. This means quicker turn-in on track and improved durability on the street.

03. Software & Electronics

LCD Display

The KTM RC 200 features a LCD dashboard that gives you all the important information you need, as well as a gear indicator.

Supermoto ABS

The KTM RC 200 can let it all hang out, thanks to SUPERMOTO ABS. This mode allows the rider more freedom when it comes to hard braking, without compromising on safety. This is done by deactivated ABS functionality on the rear wheel which allows the rider to slide the rear into a corner. At the same time, rear wheel lift up detection is also disabled allowing the rear wheel to lift up, but keeping brake pressure on the front until an excessive front wheel slip is detected, at which point ABS will intervene. This also means the rider can apply more brake pressure when cornering or trail braking.

Taillight

Perfectly complimenting the sharp lines of the KTM RC 200’s tail piece is an ultra-bright taillight and LED indicators.

04. Ergonomics

Handlebars

Designed to be usable for both track and street applications, the clip on handlebars are 15 mm higher than previous generations for improved rider comfort and line of sight, but can be lowered by 10 mm for a racier, more track-orientated position.

Seat

Rider comfort which doesn't impact on performance, the KTM RC 200 seat features thicker seat foam for improved comfort, whilst a new seat profile improves rider movement and step over. Finished in a premium material for better grip, even in wet weather.

Footpegs

Lightweight footpegs keep you firmly planted in the corners, while offering optimized geometry for sporty riding, while passenger peg splash guards protect your pillion from unwanted dirt and the water splashing against them when in a hurry.

Footlevers

Folding foot levers prevent unwanted breakage in the event of a fall, but also ensure the bike stays on-line and undisturbed should you scrape the pegs at big lean angles.

Pillion Comfort

A thicker, more comfortable pillion seat ensures your passenger enjoys the ride as much as you do, while a new seat cover with wet-weather resistant material means seat grip is maintained at all times - even in the rain. New, ergonomic aluminum grab handles complete the package.

Rider Contact

The KTM RC 200 boasts a rider-centric layout, designed to give riders maximum contact with the bike, without restricting their movement. The knee area is ergonomically developed to be as narrow as possible with the largest possible contact area for optimum control when on the edge.

05. Engine & Exhaust

Engine

The KTM RC 200 uses the proven 200 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine to maximum effect. Revised engine mapping, improved torque figures, and smoother, hard-hitting power delivery means this state-of-the-art powerplant churns out unmatched performance.

Performance

Thanks to a larger airbox, increased torque, and ultra-slick throttle response, the KTM RC 200 rockets off the line and into pole position.

Cylinder Head

Four valves, double-overhead cams and, ultra-hard carbon-coated cam levers mean the cylinder head on the KTM RC 200 produces more power but retains its legendary reliability.

Cooling

Improved airflow throughout the engine allows the KTM RC 200 to run cooler, giving it the optimal performance temperature needed to hit the apex, lap after lap, or charge through rush-hour traffic.
