    MORE IS MORE

The 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range brings evolution to the KTM TRAVEL segment, along with more power, more technology, more displacement, and more ADVENTURE. For KTM, adventure represents the hunger to explore. It means being willing to forego the safety of the 9-to-5 routine and consciously deciding to go miles past your comfort zone and deep behind the visible horizon. Adventure represents a true test of your skill, character, resourcefulness, and survival limits. At its core, adventure is an attitude.

    STREETS AHEAD

Sitting at the leading edge of the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE lineup is the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO. Comfortably taking the accolade of being KTM’s most powerful, most technologically advanced SUPER ADVENTURE motorcycle to date, it presents Adventure motorcyclists with an entirely new way to dominate long-distance travel.

    BODYWORK

New styling elements are immediately noticeable. They are designed to perform important ergonomic functions while providing the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range with a distinctive KTM look. Up front, every component is reworked, including a new headlight unit for an overall, more compact, muscular appearance. New wind-tunnel-designed windshields guarantee improved wind protection for maximum comfort with minimal wind noise.

They are also adjustable, offering 70 mm of adjustment compared to the previous generation’s 55 mm. The storage compartment between the fuel cap and steering head is now larger, providing more space for oversized smartphones. A USB-C connector is nearby. A second USB-C port can be found below the dashboard to charge additional devices such as action cameras or GPS units. New radiator fans were developed to better cool the engine and provide less heat for the rider on hot summer days. A new onboard tool kit with a wider selection of tools is now also included, packed in a compact toolbox located in the seat base.

    SEATS

For 2025, the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE seats have been reworked, with the bulk of attention paid to the frontal area. This has been done to reduce the risk of pants or boots hooking while riding or mounting while maintaining familiar ergonomics, freedom of movement, and all-day riding comfort.

The seat adjustment mechanism has also been improved for easier and safer seat position and height adjustment. To suit all needs, 11 seat variants are available from the KTM PowerParts catalog.

    CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION

While the majority of the frame architecture is taken from the previous generation KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE range, the diameters and wall thicknesses of the tubes have been revised, and the engine has been used as a stress element. The frame boasts reworked stiffness in the following areas.

    • Longitudinal: + 13%
    • Lateral: + 23%
    • Torsion: + 73%

This was done to improve straight-line and cornering stability while achieving maximum feedback from the chassis, maintaining the SUPER ADVENTURE S’ signature agile and sporty handling. A reworked crash bar—fitted as standard on the R model—features an improved fixation point and provides improved protection, thanks to an additional arm towards the engine bracket. This makes it more robust and provides improved protection in hard-core offroad situations.

    LATEST GENERATION SEMI-ACTIVE SUSPENSION

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO is fitted with the latest generation of WP APEX Semi-Active Technology (SAT). Featuring electronically controlled magnetic valves for variable damping, the SAT now provides more precise and consistent damping behavior at higher frequencies while maintaining the advantages of an electric valve's damping range.

This was achieved by using new PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) sensors that offer finer and more responsive signals that measure stroke travel and acceleration, together with a new through-rod fork construction.

As with previous generations, a wide range of adjustability is provided via Sport, Street, Comfort, and Rain Modes. The SCU (Suspension Control Unit) adapts the damping rates via the magnetic valves in real time to suit riding surfaces and rider styles. For those wanting even further fine-tuning, there is a new optional Suspension Pro package through KTM PowerParts. New Suspension Pro allows the following

    • Pro allows separate compression & rebound settings for the fork
    • Anti Dive reduces fork diving on hard deceleration, improves riding comfort for passenger and reduces front light dive effect during the night
    • Auto will now also support riding in offroad terrain
    • Offroad damping mode

    WHEELS AND TIRES

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO comes equipped with new DUNLOP TRAILMAX MERIDIAN tires as standard,  enhancing handling and stability at speed. Featuring an innovative ‘ice-ax’ tread pattern, these tires offer exceptional grip on gravel, improved traction on unpaved roads, and optimal water drainage in wet conditions. Dimensions:

    • 120/70 ZR 19 in the front
    • 170/60 ZR 17 in the rear

    BRAKE SYSTEM

The KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range boasts a new Brembo front master cylinder, with the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO also equipped with upgraded brake pads. These enhancements improve brake performance and deliver a sharper bite when pulling the front brake lever.

    REVISED LC8 V-TWIN

For 2025, the primary target for the latest version of the LC8 engine was to increase engine performance with a bigger displacement and improve overall efficiency with new CAMSHIFT technology. This also created the ideal launch platform for an all-new transmission system.

To achieve this, the bore was enlarged from 108 mm to 110 mm, increasing the engine displacement from 1301cc to 1350cc. Additionally, all-new CAMSHIFT technology is integrated into the cylinder heads, allowing for two separate intake valve lifts depending on the rpm range. Together with bigger, shorter throttle bodies, this produces more power and torque throughout the rpm range with improved engine behavior. This also allows for more efficient combustion and fuel consumption to meet the latest emission regulations.

The result? A power output of 173 PS and 145 Nm of torque was achieved while complying with the latest EURO 5+ homologation. With all this performance, durability and serviceability were not forgotten, and several revisions and updates were made to provide increased engine durability and easier servicing. This has led to extended service intervals, and a valve clearance check is only necessary after 60,000 km, compared to the previous KTM 1290 SUPER ADVNETURE’s 30,000 km check-up.

    CAMSHIFT TECHNOLOGY

The 1,350cc LC8 engine is equipped with redesigned cylinder heads incorporating innovative CAMSHIFT Technology. This enables variable-valve timing with two distinct cam profiles, optimizing the power band for increased torque and peak performance. In the lower rev range, the inlet cams have a reduced valve timing and lift, meaning the inlet valves are open for a shorter time. At higher revs, the inlet cams shift sideways – hence the name of the technology–engaging longer valve openings and greater valve lift to allow more gas flow into the cylinder, boosting performance.

This works with the inlet camshaft of each cylinder head, which features two different cam profiles mounted side by side on the same shaft. One cam is a low-rev cam, which guarantees a smoother, torquier power delivery. The other cam is activated at higher revs above 6,500 rpm and is designed to generate maximum power output. These cam-shift adjustments take only 3-5 milliseconds, making them “invisible” to the rider.

    AUTOMATED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

The Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is one of KTM's most innovative engine developments in recent years. At its core, the AMT allows the rider to choose between manual shifting operations in M Mode—without a clutch—or a completely automated transmission in A Mode. Once 1st gear is engaged, forward drive is initiated by raising the engine speed. At this point, the centrifugal clutch engages and sets the motorcycle in motion. This makes starting on a slope, pulling away, stopping, and slow-speed maneuvering much easier, particularly on a bigger motorcycle. In addition, it is impossible to stall the engine, which on its own is a massive benefit.

    Unlike traditional motorcycle gearbox setups, the AMT features a P – N – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 gear sequence, with P denoting PARK to prevent any unwanted rolling thanks to a locking pawl within the gearbox.

In terms of shifting speed, the gearbox is electronically controlled via the ECU and Transmission Control Unit. Shifts are initiated by an electromechanical shift actuator, which turns the shift drum, shifting gears at a speed of 50 milliseconds. However, the AMT also allows riders to take control of the gearbox in Manual shift mode. Here the rider has the option to purposefully shift gears by using a traditional foot gear lever on the left side of the engine, finger paddle shift on the left switch cube, or downshifting by over-closing the throttle grip.

This allows riders to maintain a true READY TO RACE, sporty riding feel without any compromises in speed or agility. The AMT gearbox has been meticulously engineered to maintain traditional gearbox proportions while keeping the weight comparable, ensuring no compromise in performance or handling.

EMISSIONS AND CONSUMPTION The new KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE models are EURO 5+ compliant; with a fuel consumption of 6.7 l / 100 km, it combines performance with economy. It also looks at ecology producing only 139,5 g/km of CO2.

    8“ TFT DISPLAY

Mounted in a portrait orientation, the KTM Premium Dashboard not only represents what is possible on a motorcycle but also opens doors to an entirely new generation of premium electronic architecture. Together, the 8” touchscreen display, new switch cubes, and new connectivity unit provide a rider-focused interface with intuitive control. Bonded screen technology, with Anti-Reflex, Anti-Fingerprint, and Anti-Glare, ensures the user interface remains visible in all conditions, while a massive 256,000 colors—compared to the previous 65,000—maintain perfect detail in all lighting conditions.  This, together with the new inductive touchscreen and handlebar switch cubes, enables seamless and easy access to information, regardless of the weather or your riding gear.

    INTEGRATED MAP NAVIGATION

Offline Map Navigation is integrated into the motorcycle connectivity unit, which allows for real-time navigation without syncing to a mobile phone. This allows for active route guidance and route planning, along with A-B routes, preprogrammed Points of Interest, and more.

    RADAR AND ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

2025 brings new system architecture to both the Front radar and Adaptive Cruise Control systems. This 5th generation update delivers performance optimization, improved truck detection, increased maximum speed, and updated cancellation thresholds. Combined with an updated Bosch-developed ACC, these improvements enhance the overall riding experience by minimizing rider input. The ACC now also includes a new group riding mode and a hold function.

Group Ride is tuned for ACC when riding in motorcycle groups. Relevant object detection changes from the vehicle directly ahead to the nearest object with a lateral offset.  Hold suppresses passing maneuvers during active ACC control on the forbidden lane. The front radar and ACC add additional new functionality, such as Distance Assist, Automatic start and stop with AMT, Braking Assistance, Collision Warning, and Distance Warning. On the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE S EVO, the radar sensor is located below the headlight unit and is integrated into the total design.

    RIDE MODES

The new ride modes concept provides the most significant improvement in the user experience. Changing a ride mode now includes changing all settings that affect the behavior of the motorcycle and the riding experience. The ride modes include ABS, MTC, HHC, Throttle Response, Engine Brake, AMT Shift Mode, SAT Damping, SAT Preload, SAT Anti-Dive, and the Display Interface. All of these settings are adjustable for each specific Ride Mode. The rider has the same level of adjustability as before, which means the rider can still adjust their bike to their preference but only needs to adjust it once instead of changing every individual setting when the riding scenario changes.

Custom mode allows the rider to duplicate an existing ride mode and quickly change it to their liking. For example, the rider could have a Street Mode setting for solo riding and another traveling with a pillion. This is particularly useful when riders want more individualized control on a track or offroad. There are 3 custom modes available to allow maximum adjustability for track and offroad use cases.  All ride modes are customizable.

    • Rain
    • Street
    • Sport
    • Offroad
    • Rally (Optional)
    • Custom Ride Modes
    • Custom 1
    • Custom 2 (Optional)
    • Custom 3 (Optional)

    ABS Modes

There are 2 ABS modes available: Street and Offroad. All the ABS Modes are fitted as standard. The additional ABS modes will allow the rider to get the most immersive riding experience, allowing them to push themselves to the limits. The ABS mode can be switched while riding by changing it individually or by changing the ride mode.

    LED HEADLIGHT AND INDICATORS

A new headlight and indicator design provide the KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE range with a new look and dramatically improve lighting performance. The light elements are embedded in a structure of glass fiber plastic, which provides the best stability and guarantees a steady beam of light over rough surfaces.  A massive improvement when it comes to light performance is related to the new cornering lights – a major benefit when riding twisty roads at night.

    ERGONOMICS AND ADJUSTABILITY

All 2025 KTM 1390 SUPER ADVENTURE models feature reworked upper triple clamps forged from lightweight aluminum. In addition to improved cable guides, they now feature a rubber-dampened handlebar mount holding a 30 mm wider tapered aluminum handlebar.

The handlebar mount allows two positions thanks to the eccentric lower handlebar clamp, with new hand guards providing higher stiffness for improved protection of the rider’s hands. For additional comfort and control, the footrests' mounting position has been lowered by 8 mm to create a wider knee angle. In addition, they have been moved outside by 10 mm for better contact and feel of the rider when standing.
