KTM X-BOW GT-XR. It’s a name that fits perfectly with a racing car – with one key difference: the latest super sportscar from KTM is a road-going machine. The name of the “GT car for the road” is sure to give KTM fans and enthusiasts an idea of what they can expect from the new model.
“This is a special moment for our company and, above all, for the entire team that has driven forward development over the past few months and years,” says Hubert Trunkenpolz, member of the KTM AG Executive Board. “We have put our heart and soul into this project, which makes it all the more pleasing to see the car be given a name. Through KTM X-BOW GT-XR, we wanted to express the car’s close links to racing, which was one of the top priorities during the development process.”
It's clear to see that the newly developed KTM X-BOW GT-XR has its roots in motorsport. The KTM X-BOW GT2, which made a successful on-track debut in 2021 with numerous race wins and the title in the GT2 European Series, forms the technical basis for the new car. Features were added to the base model to make the KTM X-BOW GT-XR road-legal.
KTM’s motto “Ready to Race” is reflected in every facet of the machine: from lightweight technology to ensure the best possible balance in every situation to the fully carbon chassis that raises the bar in terms of safety. The road car also benefits from aerodynamics that have been tried and tested on the circuit, along with a number of other high-performance components.
The unique shape of the new model is based on KTM’s racing machinery and is the perfect combination of performance and puristic design. There are clear links to KTM’s racing cars, including across all design elements and dimensions. The high-quality, hand-produced vehicle is also strictly limited in number.
