Ride Modes & Engine Map Selection

KTM riders are familiar with the thrill of opening the throttle—experiencing torque, confidence, and excitement. However, there are times when riders or racers may want to adjust this experience, either to increase or decrease it. This is where the Ride Modes come into play, offering customizable settings for traction control, throttle response, and other electronics that influence power delivery. Each mode is easily selectable (and further adjustable) using the intuitive handlebar switch and clear TFT display.

  • RAIN MODE

Rain mode, the default safety mode for slippery conditions like wet roads, is designed to keep you secure and in control. It provides maximum traction control, the smoothest throttle response, and reduced power. The system ensures the front wheel stays on the ground in all conditions. MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) is always on, and ABS remains in Street mode.

  •  STREET MODE

Street mode, designed for everyday riding, delivers full power with default throttle response and traction control suited for street conditions. It allows limited front-wheel lift, providing a balance between power and control.

  • SPORT MODE

Sport mode is ideal for aggressive street riding. It offers full power, a more direct throttle response, and traction control that permits slight wheelspin and allows the front wheel to lift for maximum acceleration.

  • OFFROAD MODE

Offroad mode is less aggressive and focuses on enhanced control. It offers a smooth throttle response (similar to Rain mode) and reduced power (100 hp). This mode allows for controlled wheel spin and rear wheel slide, enabling the rider to drift on gravel when accelerating out of corners. MTC allows wheelies, and ABS permits rear wheel lock while allowing some front wheel slip—essential for safe dirt riding.

  •  RALLY MODE (OPTIONAL)

Rally mode delivers sporty engine response and full power, with the added ability to adjust slip control across nine levels (1 for maximum spin, 9 for minimal). This mode provides maximum power and customization, letting riders choose the level of traction control intervention and throttle response. The nine slip control levels let experienced off-road riders fine-tune wheel spin. In Rally mode, the front wheel can be lifted off the ground, but wheelie control is disabled, which is recommended for skilled riders only.

  •  CUSTOM MODE

Custom mode allows riders to duplicate an existing ride mode and quickly modify it. For example, a rider could create a version of Street mode for solo riding and another for riding with a passenger. When Track or Rally modes are enabled, up to three custom modes can be configured for maximum adjustability in track and off-road scenarios.
