The KTM Race On system offers a range of keyless functions for enhanced convenience and security. Here's what it includes:
- Keyless start
- Keyless fuel cap
- Keyless steering lock
- Keyless luggage lock for KTM Touring Luggage
- ARA (Anti Relay Attack) Mode
Traditional keys are a thing of the past with the KTM Race On. All keyless operations are controlled through a transponder. The latest version of this system introduces the ARA mode, a cutting-edge security feature designed to reduce the risk of keyless system misuse.
ARA Mode: Enhanced Security
ARA mode prevents the ignition from turning on without first interacting with the transponder. Here’s how it works:
- Morning start-up: When ARA mode is active, press the ARA button on the transponder before turning on the ignition. If you don't start the bike immediately, the system gives you a 10-minute window before entering suspend mode, during which all keyless functions are disabled. This provides ample time to get ready without touching the transponder again.
- Stops during a ride: If you turn off the ignition during a stop (like at a railway crossing or while refuelling), the transponder will enter suspend mode after 5 minutes. If you wish to restart after this time, you need to press the button on the transponder again. However, if the ignition remains on, ARA mode does not activate.
- Disabling ARA mode: If you prefer not to use this security feature, you can turn it off in the dashboard's settings menu.
Keyless Luggage Locking
KTM Race On system also streamlines luggage security by integrating the luggage lock into the centralized keyless system. There are four unlocking options available to suit different preferences:
If the luggage is removed from the motorcycle and there is no power to operate the lock’s actuator, the physical key can still be used to open it.
