The new KTM X-BOW GT-XR1 may already be a unique machine, but those looking to add a personal touch to their super sportscar can really let their creativity run wild. Buyers are now able to customise the appearance of their KTM X-BOW GT-XR.
“The KTM X-BOW GT-XR is a real eye-catcher straight out of the box,” says Michael Wölfling, Managing Director at KTM Sportcar GmbH. “The people who experience it and would like to experience it are special too. We have a whole range of different options to transform a KTM X-BOW GT-XR into a genuine personal statement. We strive to offer a car that is tailored to needs and wishes of our customers, without compromising on performance.”

The possibilities are endless
Customisation starts with the paintwork, and KTM offers an unending range of colours and tones to give cars a unique appearance. Alongside the three standard shades, carbon outer shell of the KTM X-BOW GT-XR can also be painted in any uni, metallic or 3CT effect colour2 and also be given a glossy or matte finish. “From British racing green to Maranello red, or even bright pink, we can deliver a GT-XR in any conceivable colour,” explains product manager Lukas Barth.
That’s not all, either. Customers can even set the opacity of glossy finishes, with lower opacity allowing the carbon structure underneath to shine through more. “This, combined with the aggressive design of the GT-XR with its sharp edges, creates an unforgettable optical effect that has to be seen to be believed,” Barth adds.

Suspension springs, brake callipers, the KTM emblem and the engine cover can also be customised in any colour the customer desires3. To round out the matching look, rims are available in Y-spoke or GT2 design with centre-locking mechanism in five different colours.
To ensure that the customised design continues inside the car, buyers also have the opportunity to personalise the interior of their KTM X-BOW GT-XR. For example, the seams in the cockpit – from the bucket seat to the canopy roof – can be applied in the same colour as the vehicle or any other shade the customer desires3.

Pioneering 3D vehicle configurator
With so many available options, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. So KTM has developed one of the most advanced 3D vehicle configurators for the KTM X-BOW GT-XR to make the process simple. Using the configurator, getting an impression of the car of your dreams is child’s play. Aside from viewing photorealistic imagery of the car, customers can also see what their creation looks like in a variety of different sceneries at various times of day.
Once customers have crafted their own personal KTM X-BOW GT-XR, the specifications can be passed on directly to the nearest KTM dealer, where they can find out from the experts all they need to know about the various colour variations and other details in relation to the car. “In order to present the X-BOW GT-XR against a perfect backdrop and show off the options in the proper fashion, we have developed new showroom displays now available at most of our partner dealers. That way, our customers will feel like they are in the best of hands,” adds Barth.
The new KTM X-BOW GT-XR is available immediately from EUR 299,150 (excl. local taxes and import duties). Thanks to the European small-volume production authorisation, the vehicle is available and road-legal across the continent. Anyone looking to pick one up should act quick – the 2023 contingent is already sold out.
