UNCOMPROMISING PERFORMANCE MEETS COMFORT: THE KTM X-BOW GT-XR IS PACKED FULL OF INNOVATION

Getting behind the wheel of a KTM X-BOW GT-XR1 isn’t a choice between insatiable performance and suitability as a daily driver. The super sportscar offers the power you need for an unforgettable driving experience and some clever features for a comfortable trip, too.

This unique combination creates an opportunity to savour the best of both worlds: breathtakingly quick laps of the most challenging circuits in the world and relaxing, long journeys on public roads. The low weight of the car, its comparatively efficient engine and the 96-litre fuel tank mean that trips of up to 1,000 kilometres can be completed without stopping to refuel.

Fuel consumption combined (WLTP): 9.1 l/100 km, CO₂ emissions combined (WLTP): 214 g/km, emissions classification: EURO 6D

Bringing together both of these qualities in a single car required plenty of innovative solutions from KTM engineers, including the advanced camera monitoring system (CMS). Instead of conventional wing mirrors, the KTM X-BOW GT-XR features LED displays on the driver and passenger side of the cockpit, which provide a real-time view from the rear of the car. A centre-mounted display in the cockpit shows a live feed from cameras built into the rear wing and the rear of the carbon monocoque, enhancing the driver’s view of the surroundings even further. Aside from enhancing vision, the camera system is also lighter and more aerodynamic.

KTM has dispensed with the customary infotainment system, preferring to deploy the driver’s smartphone for navigation and entertainment purposes. The control centre of many people’s lives is front-and-centre in the cockpit of the KTM X-BOW GT-XR. A quadlock bracket in the centre console makes sure devices remain firmly in position. And thanks to Bluetooth pairing and the optional sound system2, driver’s can play their favourite tunes, take calls or follow directions all through the comfort of their phone.

The electric progressive steering makes piloting the KTM X-BOW GT-XR a relaxing experience. The system adapts automatically to the car’s speed and driving situation. When parking or driving slowly through a built-up area, the steering has more give, making the car easier to manoeuvre. At higher speeds, like on the motorway, the steering stiffens up to give the driver a safer and more stable ride.

2 Optional accessories at additional cost. Not included in the standard version.

Be it at high speed or while negotiating the twists and turns of mountain passes, keeping a cool head is always key – and the KTM X-BOW GT-XR helps the driver do so with its multi-stage air-conditioning system. Not only does the system provide a constant feed of fresh air into the cockpit, it can also warm up the ambient temperature in cooler climes. The air vents on the driver and passenger side are designed not to impair the surround view from the cockpit. Thanks to these features and the patented pedal adjustment system, the KTM X-BOW GT-XR is always ready for the next long drive.

Suitability for those long drives also means providing sufficient space for luggage. While space in other cars in the same class comes at a premium, the KTM X-BOW GT-XR features ample capacity. Boot space of 160 litres is plenty for two items of hand luggage and a handbag. Those looking to travel in style can pick up specially designed luggage from Meindl3, which has been optimized for the KTM X-BOW GT-XR and fits perfectly into the boot.

The new KTM X-BOW GT-XR is available immediately from €299,150 (excl. local taxes and import duties). Thanks to the European small-volume production authorisation, the vehicle is available and road-legal across the continent. Anyone looking to pick one up should act quick – the 2023 contingent is already sold out.
