On the 10th of July 2024, KTM Sportcar GmbH achieved yet another milestone in its corporate history as the 100th KTM X-BOW GT-XR1 rolled off the production line in Graz. The completion of the first 100 models of the super sportscar also marks the end of the limited-edition run for the KTM X-BOW GT-XR, although the highly customisable lightweight and high-performance machine remains limited.

“We would love to pop the champagne corks and toast the 100th KTM X-BOW GT-XR, as this is an important accomplishment for us,” said Michael Wölfling, Managing Director of KTM Sportcar GmbH. “But we have no time to celebrate, as demand for the car remains as high as ever, with many sportscar enthusiasts waiting patiently to get their hands on the unbridled performance of the KTM X-BOW GT-XR.”
The new generation of KTM super sportscar began production back on 31 January 2023. As the first 100 models have been produced, KTM Sportcar GmbH has been able to optimise their processes to achieve the original production target of two fully customised KTM X-BOW GT-XR cars per week, while maintaining the highest quality standards and ensuring that much of the work continues to be carried out by hand.
The biggest challenge has been managing the unparalleled level of customisation available with the KTM X-BOW GT-XR. Each and every model can be transformed into a genuine one-of-a-kind, with all manner of finishes covering practically every shade in the colour spectrum to individual logo and brake disk design, customisable seams and interior features and exclusive KTM PowerParts. “Allowing our customers to craft their very own super sportscar was one of the best decisions we ever made,” adds Wölfling. “More than 90% of KTM X-BOW GT-XR drivers have configured their model as a one-of-a-kind. In other words, almost every single car that rolls off the production line is a unique specimen.”
KTM Sportcar GmbH is aiming to maintain this level of uniqueness. “KTM X-BOW GT-XR owners can rest assured that the super sportscar remains extremely limited and an exclusive piece of machinery, with a maximum of 100 units produced per year,” says the Managing Director, who has headed up development of the car since 2020. “Now it’s time for us to get on with the next 100 models.”
The contingent for 2024 is already sold out, with KTM Sportcar GmbH expanding its network of dealers worldwide, particularly in Asia, to meet growing interest in the KTM X-BOW GT-XR from new markets while satisfying brisk demand in Europe.
