SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND FOR KTM CUSTOMER TEAMS IN THE TOURING CAR MASTERS

The Touring Car Masters (TCM) series is once again a popular stage for everyone looking to experience their KTM X-BOW on the race track in 2023 – in competitive conditions, too. At the second round of the season at the Red Bull Ring, numerous drivers and teams took the opportunity to put on a real show.

“We are proud to have a variety of KTM models in our 2023 field,” said series organiser Gerhard Trenker. “Over the years we have built up a close relationship with the manufacturer. We try to offer the teams the best possible platform, and they pay us back tenfold with exciting racing.”

Customer teams MZR and razoon – more than racing were present at the Red Bull Ring to represent KTM, with Denis Liebl walking away with the most plaudits. Driving his KTM X-BOW GTX, Liebl showcased his talent in both the sprint and the one-hour endurance races.

There were plenty of other stories from the second round of the championship in Styria, including stand-out success for a father-son driver pairing. Daniel Drexel, who bagged a class win at the Dubai 24 Hours at the start of the year, shared a KTM X-BOW RR with father Clemens and secured multiple wins in their classification.

Trenker is looking forward to the next race weekend: “I can’t wait for our round at the Pannonia-Ring. The drivers are expecting good conditions and lots of track time. We will also be offering an English-language live stream, which is by no means common for semi-professional motorsport.”

The Hungarian round takes place from 7 to 8 July and is the third of sixth race weekends in 2023.
